Small House.

3 of 4

The Small House is called Small House as it is the tiniest of all the four houses. This one is the favourite house of Saunders’ eldest daughter, who decorated the house herself when she was 14 years old.

Small House is very spartan, but with a pleasant and simple aesthetic taste, it looks like a room for a monk or stoic perhaps. In the main room there is a simple bed, side table, mirror, and a very small yet effective wood stove. One has a view to the ocean from the bed. It is a perfect place to wake up and stay in bed drinking coffee, reading, and relaxing in the morning.

At the entrance, we again opened the house up over two stories to create a vertical spacious room. There are shelves to the right and a small sink inside for washing and brushing teeth. This whole space is painted white.

On the second floor there is a loft sleeping space with a bed for one, or two people that don’t mind sleeping very close.
